What is Microblading?

Microblading also known as 6D eyebrows, Eyebrow Embroidery, Eyebrow Feathering, or Japanese method is a way of semi-permanent make-up, where using a manual tool for inserting pigment into the upper layers of skin we create the desired fullness and shape of the eyebrows. Effects last up to 3 years (touch up needed after 1.5-2 years). The pigment gradually fades away if not refreshed. Results can imitate topically applied cosmetics depending upon the design, color value and amount of pigment used. At first, permanent makeup results may look darker. This is due to the colour retention in the outermost epidermal layers of the skin at the end of the initial procedure. Colour softens within 10 days during the healing process of the skin. A touch-up session 30 days after the initial procedure fixes the look in place for to 1.5 years.

As color is implanted closer to the surface, the hair strokes appear to be crispy and fine. This method is ideal for anyone who wants to enhance the look of his or her eyebrows. The results are natural looking, hair-like strokes, regardless of the amount of hair present. People suffering from alopecia, trigonometric or any other condition that causes hair loss also benefit greatly from Microblading,  apart from clients who simply aren’t happy with their eyebrows. The pigments used in this method are formulated to match client’s original eyebrow colour, which facilitates the existing eyebrow hair to blend in perfectly. This results in realistic, flawless, fuller looking eyebrows.

What is Permanent Makeup?

Permanent make-up is a cosmetic technique where using a permanent make-up device special pigments are inserted into the dermis of the skin to create the desired fullness and shape of the eyebrows/lips, enhance the eyelash line or create a thick eyeliner. It is also used in paramedical way – for example to make artificial eyebrows, particularly in people who have lost them as a consequence of old age, disease, such as alopecia, chemotherapy or genetic disturbances. Permanent makeup can be done in different styles. For example eyebrows techniques like– strokes, shadow, or strokes and shadow combined; lip techniques like- outer liner or full lips; eye enhancement techniques like – eyeliner or eyeshadow, smoky Ombre eyeliner, black or custom colour.

All these effects last up to 5 years (touch up needed after 1.5-2 years). The pigment.gradually fades away if not refreshed. A touch-up session 30 days after the initial procedure fixes the look in place for to  1.5 to 2 years. While permanent makeup pigment remains in the dermis its beauty-span may be influenced by several possible factors. These can be environmental, procedural and/ or individual factors.

Below are examples of the techniques that I offer:

OMBRE SHADED POWDER BROW - This permanent makeup technique is used to achieve a powdered in look. It involves creating a soft, shaded brow that is darker at the tail and gradually blends in towards the middle and fades at the bulb of the brow. This technique saves us from creating undesirable sharpie eyebrows that look unnatural and clown-like, This brow style is exclusive to face foundry and lasts between 3 to 5 years.

COMBINATION BROW - This permanent makeup style is created by combining microblading and powder brow permanent makeup techniques,  small hair strokes are drawn at the bulb of the brow which blends in with the powder shading that is done using a machine. This brow lasts between 3 to 5 years. The image below shows the difference between microblading and combination brow.

PERMANENT EYELINER UPPER - This is a permanent makeup technique that makes your eye look bigger. A precise wing can be added at the end and the thickness of the eyeliner can be increased if desired. Or one could just go for a thin line close to the lashes without a wing at the end to create an illusion of thicker lashes and a bigger eye. This lasts for 3 to 5 years.

The eyeliner can also be customized to look like eye shadow placed close to the lash line by defining the bottom edge and creating strokes in the upper area of the eyeliner that blend into the outer corner of the eyelid.

PERMANENT EYELINER LOWER -This permanent makeup technique adds definition and makes your eyes the focal point of your face. Lasts 3 to 5 years. It can also be done in combination with the upper liner based on your preference.

PERMANENT LIPSTICK - This permanent makeup procedure involves lining the lips to create definition, Minor flaws in the lip shape can be corrected in this step. This can be followed by filling in the lips with the same colour used for the outline. The end result is beautifully pigmented lips. The pigment intensity can be more or less based on your personal preference.

Is Permanent Makeup and Microblading safe?

Yes. I use 100% single-use, disposable system for each procedure. My methods of Microblading and Permanent makeup application are controlled, gentle and safe. I follow health Canada’s standards for sterilization and cross contamination prevention.

Does it hurt?

Very little, if any, discomfort is experienced during the procedure. In fact, the great majority of my clients describe the sensation as a "'tickling" feeling. The anesthesia used is of a superior grade and is extremely effective.

Will it look "natural"?

YES -- It will look more natural than your own makeup. Unless you tell somebody you've had it applied, they'll never know. I use "natural-looking" techniques for brow design, with natural age-defying shapes.

What is the healing period like?

Clients are able to return to work or their other daily activities immediately following their procedure without any embarrassment or discomfort. For approximately 5-7 days following the procedure, you will need to apply a thin film of ointment to the procedure site. During this healing period, you will notice the color soften in your skin.

What is Yumi- Keratin Lash Lift and Tint:

Keratin EYELASH LIFT-YUMI Lashes is an innovative technology that increases the length and thickness of your lashes while curling them and infusing them with, proteins and vitamins.

Unlike other less advanced eyelash lift products, the effect of  YUMI Lashes procedure lasts until your lashes completely renew naturally. Which is usually around 2 months.

What are the various steps in a Yumi Procedure ?

The procedure takes about 60 minutes and is performed in several steps which involve the application of various components. Sugar based eyelash glue is used to fix the eyelashes on a silicone mold. Next, we create a bend (subtle or dramatic). Your eyelashes are then infused with vitamins, proteins, and pigment (colour intensity is chosen by the client). The procedure ends with the application of a nourishing oil that you wash off only after 24 hours.

RESULT AFTER 24 HOURS:

Your eyelashes are significantly longer and thicker due to the bend and the application of nourishing ingredients along the entire length of the lashes

It looks like you have mascara on all the time!

YUMI Lashes - is a successful combination of the latest, innovative technology in cosmetology and absolutely safe components.

YUMI Lashes procedure increases the length and curves your own eyelashes without a perm. And unlike a perm, which has a number of consequences, the procedure does not have a negative impact on the eyelashes, it rather strengthens their structure due to the nutrients present in the ingredients of the products used.

YUMI Lashes procedure meets all standards and has safety certifications.

Currently, there is no equivalent procedure anywhere in the world.
